Two Rescued After Truck Plunges Into Icy Water During Snowstorm in Connecticut

Emergency crews rescued two people after a truck plunged into the water at Cummings Park in Stamford, Connecticut during a heavy snowstorm on Monday, February 1.

This video from the Stamford Fire Department shows rescue crews in the icy water, removing the occupants of the vehicle and then towing the truck to shore.

According to the fire department, one of the occupants was stuck inside the completely submerged truck and firefighters were able to maintain contact in time to force open the small rear window to pull him to safety.
