Two men have been charged after a spate of "car and key" burglaries including two on Merseyside. Three incidents were reported in Warrington, one in Runcorn and another in Formby over a 12-day period in June this year.

Following a police investigation into the incidents two men were arrested. It's now been confirmed that James Farrel, 27, from Lynsted Road, Liverpool, and Michael Miller, 33, from Ambrose Road, Widnes, have been charged with conspiracy to commit a burglary with intent to steal.

Both men appeared at Chester Magistrates Court today, Friday November 29, and were remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on December 23.
