Two people were taken to hospital after a crash which closed a road for hours.
It is understood the pair were trapped in the vehicle and had to be cut free.
The car was badly damaged in the smash near Shortgate, north of Ringmer, which happened late on Saturday night.
The B192 was closed into the early hours of the morning.
An air ambulance was seen landing nearby following the crash which happened at around 10.30pm.
An East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "We were called to the incident at 10.13pm on September 30 and rescued one female and one male casualty who were then taken to hospital.
"Crews used hydraulic equipment and an electric saw to rescue the occupants of the car which was on its roof."
