Two people have been taken to hospital following a collision on the M25 near Sevenoaks on Monday morning (November 25). Emergency services took to the scene on the clockwise carriageway between Junction 5, for Chipstead and Sevenoaks, and Junction 6 for Godstone in Surrey shortly after 9am.

All traffic was then temporarily held, resulting in heavy congestion and delays building on the approach. Traffic and travel monitoring service Inrix reported that the collision had involved two lorries and a car.

Two lanes of four were then re-opened at around 10am, though delays and traffic continued throughout the morning. At the incident’s peak, drivers faced delays of around 1.5 hours with queues stretching back onto the M26 westbound.
