Two weeks of overnight closures begin on Cambridgeshire road
A busy Cambridgeshire road will be closed to motorists from Monday night (September 16). Church Lane/St Neots Road, near Madingley, is due to shut from 8pm to 6am for works.
The works will be carried out by the county council, who are doing carriageway resurfacing. This will help improve road safety and the quality of travel in the area.
The closure, which is up to the A1303 roundabout, is scheduled to last until September 30. Roadworks and a diversion route will be in place at all times during this period.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire County Council said: "Church Lane/A1303 St Neots Road, Madingley (approaching roundabout) will be closed to all motor vehicles between the 16th - 30th September between the hours of 8pm and 6am nightly for carriageway works."
A post from Stagecoach East: "We are unable to serve the American cemetery, or Inglewood stop. Nearest stop Antarctic Survey or Cambridge Road Coton. The diversion is longer than usual so we can still serve Hardwick."
The diversion route will take motorists down High Street, The Avenue, Huntingdon Road, Mount Pleasant, Shelly Row, Albion Row, Lady Margaret Road, Madingley Road and St Neots Road. It is estimated that this will add around 17 minutes and eight miles onto journey times.
