The top-rated and least favoured holiday parks in the UK have been revealed, with Forest Holidays, boasting two sites in Wales, clinching the second spot.

The company earned an impressive 80% customer score in a recent survey conducted by Which? Travel. With two breathtaking Welsh parks under its belt, it's easy to see why they're so popular.

One park is located in the heart of Snowdonia National Park, while the other in the Brecon Beacons. The Snowdonia site offers spectacular mountain views and a wide range of activities for the whole family, catering to those seeking adventure or relaxation during their break, reports Wales Online.

Guests can partake in a forest survival experience, abseiling, and guided scrambling. Bike hire is also available at the park, with guided bike tours of Snowdonia on offer.

For those seeking a more laid-back holiday, each cabin comes equipped with a hot tub, and spa treatments can be booked either in advance or upon arrival. While the nearby Pant Du vineyard provides an opportunity for wine tasting.

Forest Holiday's Brecon Beacons site is equally captivating and offers similar facilities, including a hot tub in every cabin. However, one unique feature is the opportunity to stay in a tree house, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

Holidaymakers have been leaving rave reviews for these parks, with comments like: "Everything from arrival, staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was brilliant and worth the money. Even paying the £3 for delivery was worth it though we could see the kitchen area from our chalet."

"We parked the car up and that's where it stayed till leaving time. Views are amazing and well worth the walk every day. We walked to the local village 1hr each way but well worth it. Will be booking up again for next year."

Meanwhile, another review read: "We had a really enjoyable family stay at Beddgelert and there was something for all of us to do (ages range 6 - 67). The staff were helpful, and we were lucky with the weather too, so all in all, we had a lovely weekend stay."

And another visitor added: "The location is outstanding. All lodges directly in beautiful woodland. Staff are friendly and really helpful."

It's not just these holiday parks getting attention; Bluestone in Pembrokeshire Coast National Park also made the top three, securing its place as another top-notch holiday park in Wales.
