Tyler, the Creator To Make His Feature Film Debut Alongside Timothée Chalamet and Gwyneth Paltrow

When Tyler, the Creator rapped "Tell Tim Chalamet to come get at me" on his 2018 track "OKRA," he might have been manifesting today's headline. Six years later, the spellbinding artist has landed his debut feature film role in Josh Safdie's forthcoming A24 film, Marty Supreme, alongside Chalamet and Gwyneth Paltrow, according to Deadline.

The production company is keeping most of the film's details under wraps for now, though the plot reportedly centers on professional ping pong player Marty Reisman, who was known for his eccentric fashion sense and international title-winning skill. Upon the movie's announcement earlier this year, A24 shared an image of a table tennis ball to social media with the caption "coming soon" — so the aforementioned intel is a relatively safe bet.

Marty Supreme's script was penned by Safdie and Ronald Bronstein, both of whom are also producing the project with Eli Bush, Anthony Katagas, Chalamet and A24.

Despite never having starred in a film before, Tyler previously co-created Adult Swim's The Jellies! and Loiter Squad (the latter of which he starred in with other Odd Future members). He also created the Viceland docuseries Nuts + Bolts.
