Typhoon Noru causes flooding in northern Philippines
Typhoon Noru slammed into the northern Philippines on Monday, killing five rescue workers, causing flooding and power outages and forcing authorities to suspend classes and government activities in the capital and outlying provinces.
The strongest typhoon to hit the country this year made landfall in the city of Burdeos, Quezon province, where more than 17,000 people have been moved to emergency shelters.
