WBC champion Tyson Fury claimed he will “never get bored of beating Deontay Wilder” as he opened up on life in lockdown.

The undefeated British heavyweight champion was initially scheduled to face Wilder in a trilogy fight in Las Vegas in July, however, the bout has since been postponed until October due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Fury said he was enjoying spending time with his family at home while streaming live workouts to the country and reminding people to stay indoors and follow the government’s advice.

”There are positives to take out of every negative and the positive for me is that I get to spend a lot of time with my family and kids and doing family activities that I’d usually be too busy to do,” he said.

“It’s very special times to spend at home with the family, in a few months when this is all over and done we’ll look back at this and think ‘you know what, that was a good time we got to spend at home with our families’.

“So you can take a positive from every negative in life and I’m just trying to take a positive.”

Asked about the prospect of facing Wilder again, Fury added: ”I really did what I said I was going to do. Not many people in boxing say something then do exactly what they said they were going to do.

“So I was quite proud of the performance and I’m really looking forward to getting all this coronavirus out of the way and getting the world back on track and getting back to my job.”
