Tyson Fury claims he was offered the chance to fight Mike Tyson in an exhibition bout - but doesn't expect anything to materialise.

53-year-old Tyson retired from boxing in 2005 but says he plans to fight again to raise money for charity, sharing ferocious training clips on social media.

His old foe Evander Holyfield has also revealed in recent weeks he plans to return to the ring for Covid-19 relief in the United States. The timing of the two announcement has inevitably fuelled talk of a third meeting between the two heavyweight legends.

Current WBC champion Fury, who was named after ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’, has revealed in an interview with BT Sport however he jumped at the chance to fight Tyson and has no issue with ageing stars of the sport returning for one last dance.

"I had a phone call saying 'would you like to fight Mike Tyson in an exhibition fight?' I said 'hell yeah', but I don't think anything's materialised out of it," Fury said in an interview with BT Sport.

"They're both old now so they're a bit long in the teeth but then who am I to say anything about what anyone's capable of?

"I wouldn't try to kill anybody's dreams of doing anything they want if they're both medically fit to fight then let them do what they've got to do. It's their life, not mine."
