Tyson Fury continues on his comeback trail tonight as he takes on Francesco Pianeta on the undercard of Carl Frampton’s Windsor Park showdown against Luke Jackson.

Fury marked his return to the ring after a 32-month absence with an easy victory over Sefer Seferi in June, immediately making a beeline for the heavyweight division's elite.

Having described IBF, WBO and WBA champion Anthony Joshua as a “laughing stock”, a “coward” and “a disgrace to boxing” since his return bout, the Manchester fighter has his eye on a Las Vegas showdown with WBC champion Deontay Wilder in December.

Wilder is scheduled to be in attendance at ringside on Saturday night, with Fury hoping to catapult himself back into the world title picture with what is expected to be a routine win in Belfast.

Weigh-in

Deontay Wilder gatecrashed the weigh-in for Tyson Fury's fight with Francesco Pianeta where he had an aggressive confrontation with Fury's father John - and then had to be separated from his rival heavyweight.

The WBC heavyweight champion has flown to Belfast from the United States to be ringside for Saturday's fight at Windsor Park, with Fury planning to challenge Wilder next if he wins this bout against Pianeta.

A date of November 17 in Las Vegas has been prepared for their anticipated fight and Fury demonstrated further signs of progress by weighing in at 18st 6lbs - significantly lighter than the 19st 10lbs he was for his comeback fight against Sefer Seferi in June.

How to watch

The fight will be televised live on BT Sport 1 with coverage starting at 7:45pm. BT Sport subscribers will be able to stream the match online via the video player and the BT Sport app.

What they said

Tyson Fury: “I’ve eaten, slept and drunk boxing – I’ve done nothing else but box since November.

"So if I can’t beat Pianeta I might as well get on my knees and kiss his two feet because I’m clearly shot to pieces.

“But if I am half the man I was a few years ago, I will write Pianeta off like a good ‘un, put a face on him like the Elephant Man.”
