U.S. Company Develops Bullets Designed To Shoot Down Drones

An American ammunition maker claims to have developed a range of bullets specifically designed for shooting down troublesome drones.

Idaho-based Snake River Shooting Products is selling the ‘Drone Munition’ in order for gun owners to ‘prepare for the drone apocalypse’.

The 12 guage shotgun ammo reportedly contains magnetic shot to interfere with drones’ electronics.

“In addition, the product also generates a discussion on the growing drone market in general,” says a statement on the brand’s website.

The ammunition is apparently also suitable for hunting ‘small game, waterfowl, and turkeys’.

A disclaimer on the site urges firearms owners to stick to the law, stating: “Federal, State, and Local laws dictate when, where, and in what situations a firearm can be legally discharged. We are in no way condoning the use of this product for illegal activity! Be sure to follow ALL firearm laws at all times!”.

A Kentucky man was recently arrested after shooting down a camera-equipped drone that he claimed was hovering over his property.
