A night-time market will be returning to Liverpool once again. The Night Market UK has travelled across the country offering evenings of shopping, food and entertainment.

It made its debut in Liverpool at CONTENT in the Baltic Triangle last year. It returned to the same venue again in July. Becc Sanderson, founder of The Night Market UK, said at the time: “We’re excited to bring The Night Market UK back to Liverpool.

"It’s clear that the Baltic Triangle is an area packed with creative talent, and we can’t wait to bring a richly diverse selection of traders together under one roof, for one night only, encouraging visitors to shop small and create community connections."

However, these plans have changed. The Night Market will take place at CONTENT again next month. A "stellar line-up" of over 60 local artists, artisans and small businesses will be present. These will include vintage clothes firms, jewellers and homeware stores.

Live music will be provided by two DJs. Eves’ Drop Collective alumni Ruby Swallow and Laura Weaver promise to put the venue’s sound system through its paces, providing spellbinding beats under the shimmering light of the giant glitter ball.

There will be two street food vendors too. Ramen and gyoza from We Need Good Food, a pop-up Asian restaurant that originated in Warrington. Another food vender will be announced soon.

On the latest event, Becc said: “We really feel like we’ve found a proper home in CONTENT Liverpool, a brilliant venue with superb staff, plus loads of room to fill it with the very best small businesses that Liverpool has to offer. The sound system and lighting is truly world class, so we’re very excited to be partnering with them again.”

“There’s always so much to choose from, our events are fully curated so there is always something for everyone. We’re very happy to have back Swag Vintage with their huge stall of affordable vintage, Liverpool Leopard with their funky leopard print homewares, plus new (to us) jewellers Fitzi Jewellery who create incredible pieces out of upcycled cutlery and the always hugely popular Lost in Music, with her incredible prints and homewares, just to name a few.”

Market trader Megan Towndrow, who is a creator at accessories boutique shop Dapper Alice, added: “As a trader, I've been with the Night Market since their beginnings in Glasgow in 2019 and have grown to enjoy the event so much, I now trade with them all over the UK.

"I love the sense of community amongst the traders and the like-minded and supportive customers it attracts. Thoughtfully curated by the organisers, it's always a unique, different and fun experience for its patrons and its traders too.

"I've met a lovely network of fellow makers here, made many friends and have thoroughly enjoyed immersing myself in the vibrant communities of the cities they inhabit.”

The event will take place on September 26. Tickets will be available on the door, but it is advised to book online ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

Tickets are priced at £3.50 for adults and £3 for concessions. Anyone 12 or under goes free, although anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The event is dog friendly but owners are asked to keep them on a lead. Doors open at 5.30pm and close at 10.30pm. More information can be found here.
