Uber collides with Volkswagen Polo on main route through Darwen
An Uber car collided with a VW Polo on the A666 this afternoon (Thursday, September 19). Police were called to Duckworth Street at around 3pm to reports of a collision between the vehicles.
At least three police cars and a van attended the incident, which happened close to Bargain Booze. A section of road was coned off while officers dealt with the smash.
No one is thought to have been seriously injured in the crash. But it is understood there may have been some minor injuries.

One motorist who passed the incident said: “It seemed incredibly dramatic and I assumed something really bad must have happened considering how many police were there, including an unmarked car. I’m amazed it was just a two car crash."
