Uber driver caught watching porn while parked on hard shoulder

An Uber driver was caught watching porn on his phone while parked on the hard shoulder of the M56 on Sunday night.

Shocked motorway police found the vehicle on the eastbound Manchester Airport spur and saw the driver inside “watching pornographic material on their mobile phone”.

The driver was given a traffic offence report (TOR), which could result in a fine, according to Manchester Evening news.

North West Motorway Police, who posted details of the incident on their Facebook page, said the driver will also be reported to the Manchester Taxi Licensing department because they were not wearing an ID badge at the time.

Sharing a photo of the car, they wrote: "Manchester licensed private hire under Uber banner, driver parked on hard shoulder of EB M56 airport spur watching pornographic material on mobile phone.
