‘The Last Stylebender’ is looking to bounce back swiftly from his first career defeat suffered in March, when his dreams of becoming a two-weight world champion were ended by light-heavyweight title-holder Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259.
He now faces a rematch with Vettori, more than three years on from their first clash in April 2018, with Adesanya claiming a contentious split-decision win that night.
Vettori has beaten each of Cezar Ferreira, Andrew Sanchez, Karl Roberson, Jack Hermansson and Kevin Holland since then and now the Italian has his eyes fixed on revenge and a maiden world championship, with tensions running high in the build-up to fight night.
In Saturday night’s co-main event, Brazil’s Deiveson Figueiredo defends his flyweight title in a rematch of the December draw against Brandon Moreno, while there is also the small matter of Nate Diaz’s eagerly anticipated return to the octagon for the first time since his loss to Jorge Masvidal in November 2019 as he battles British welterweight Leon Edwards.

UFC 263 predictions
Adesanya will be desperate to bounce back immediately from his first UFC defeat, which is likely to spell bad news for Vettori, who feels he won their original fight in 2018.
Adesanya wins via decision
The co-main is very difficult to call as it is a rematch between two men that battled to a thrilling draw just six months ago. However, we’re backing the champion to get it done this time around.
Figueiredo wins via decision
Plenty of eyes will be on the popular and resilient Diaz’s return to action, though it’s unlikely to be successful as Edwards plot a title shot against the dominant Kamaru Usman in a rematch from 2015.
Edwards wins via decision
