UK coronavirus deaths rise by 25 to 43,575

The UK death toll from coronavirus has risen to 43,575, the government said on Monday.

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) also said in the 24-hour period up to 9am on Monday, 93,881 tests have been carried out or dispatched, with 815 positive results.

A total of 9,290,215 tests have been carried out, with 311,965 positive cases.

The government figures do not include all deaths involving Covid-19 across the UK, which is thought to have passed 54,000
