London has seen a rise in coronavirus cases across 19 of its 32 boroughs, the latest data reveals.

Southwark, along with Hackney and the City of London have reported the highest rise in Covid-19 infections over the past week.

It comes as the virus death toll across the UK rose by four overnight – although the figures tend to be lower on a Monday owing to reporting gaps on the weekend.

In other developments, the first case of someone being reinfected with the disease has been reported in Hong Kong, suggesting people can fall sick again just weeks after recovering.
