UK coronavirus LIVE: Brit virus toll rises to 23 as three new cases confirmed in Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Hertfordshire
Three more patients have tested positive for the coronavirus in England, bringing the total number of UK cases to 23.
Chief Medical Officer Professor Chris Whitty said all three were "being investigated and contact tracing has begun" after they tested positive for the Covid-19 virus in Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire and Berkshire.
It comes as health chiefs work round-the-clock to discover how a man in Surrey contracted coronavirus after he became the first person to be infected within the UK.
On Friday, a British man became the first UK citizen to die from coronavirus after being infected on the Diamond Princess cruise ship which has been quarantined in Japan since the start of February.
