A UK ticket-holder has won the £177m EuroMillions jackpot, scooping the third biggest prize ever seen in the country. The winning numbers were 7, 11, 25, 31, 40 with lucky stars 9 and 12 - and now just how much they stand to make from interest has been revealed.

According to research by Stocklytics, if you put the entirety of your winnings into a savings account with an interest rate of 5.23% - currently the best rate offered on the market at the moment - then you could earn an £771,425 per month, and £25,361.25 per day.

The staggering win's numbers are: 07, 11, 25, 31, 40, while the Lucky Stars are 09 and 12. Tuesday night's new millionaire holds the ticket number TRLJ40528 - and National Lottery owners Allwyn have reacted with incredulity to the news.

Andy Carter, senior winners adviser at Allwyn, said: "Wow, it has been a truly incredible night for a single UK ticket-holder who has scooped tonight's jaw-dropping £177 million EuroMillions jackpot. The win has landed them a spot on The National Lottery's Rich List, as they have become the third-biggest National Lottery winner of all time."

"What a wonderful win right before Christmas, and we cannot wait to pay out this amazing prize. Players are urged to check their tickets and to give us a call if they think they are tonight's lucky winner," he said. The winner will be wealthier than former One Direction member Harry Styles and heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua when they take home their prize.

The celebrity pair are both worth some £175 million, according to the latest Sunday Times Rich List. On July 19, 2022, an anonymous UK ticket-holder scooped the record EuroMillions jackpot of £195 million - the largest National Lottery win of all time.
