UK households warned to stockpile bread and milk before Friday arrives
UK households have been warned to buy bread and milk before Friday - as snow threatens to RETURN to the country days after a three-day weather blast. Fresh weather maps and charts show the UK could face the brunt of yet another snow blast as we head through the week.
Direct Energy says households should make sure they have bread and milk at home in case they aren’t able to get to their local shop. The energy firm said: “After heavy snowfall or blizzard conditions, you could find yourself snowed in for days.
"Getting cut off from your local grocery store could be made worse by a prolonged power outage, which would leave you with just a few hours to enjoy the remaining contents of your fridge safely. But if you stock your pantry with filling shelf-stable foods, you won't go hungry while waiting for the snow to be cleared.”

WX Charts maps and charts show the Met Desk data projecting flurries of snow - up to 10cm accumulations - from Friday, November 22, to Saturday, November 23. The Met Office has published its verdict, which spans November 24 onwards.
The Met Office said: "An unsettled start, with a spell of very strong winds and some rain or showers for all parts. It will be mild for most parts, especially towards the southeast, although the strong winds will make it feel rather cold."
The Met Office went on, adding: "The start of next week looks like turning colder for all parts, with a return of wintry showers for a time, especially in the north. Conditions then look like settling down as high pressure builds across the country.
"Although the high may drift off to the east later next week, mainly dry and settled conditions seem likely to persist, especially towards the south and east where fog may become an issue. Temperatures trending back towards average, but overnight frosts are likely and rather cold days where fog persists."
