UK man has died after a mass stabbing in a small village

A man has died and another suffered serious injuries after a mass stabbing in a small village. One male has been arrested after two men and a women were attacked with a knife in Walton Cardiff near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. Police received multiple reports of a knife-wielding man attacking others in Snowdonia Road and Arlington Road at 5.20pm Tuesday. Reports say the public tried to intervene and stop the man's attacks. A man in his 50s was arrested and police said they were not looking for anyone else. One man suffered serious injuries and was given treatment at the scene, but sadly died there. A second man suffered serious stab wounds and remains in a stable condition at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. A woman was also wounded in the leg and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment. Several members of the public tried to intervene, Gloucestershire Constabulary said. Det Insp Ben Lavender appealed for anyone with information or mobile phone footage of the attack to contact police. A police spokesman said: ''Emergency services are at the scene of a serious incident in Walton Cardiff near Tewkesbury this evening, Tuesday 5 October. ''Police were called to the area shortly after 5.20pm with reports of a stabbing. ''One man has been arrested and one person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. ''There is a large police presence at the scene which is in the area of Arlington Road and Snowdonia Road. ''Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident.''
