A further 14,030 Covid cases were reported on Thursday, a drop from the 17,224 recorded on Wednesday.
It marked the lowest daily figure since June 22 last year when there were only 11,625 cases reported.
Free testing has been scrapped as Britain tries to navigate learning to live with Covid.
Over the last seven days, 112,705 cases were recorded which was 53,125 fewer than the previous seven days - a 32 per cent fall.
For deaths, the UK reported 248 mortalities within 28 days of a positive test by date reported after falling to 304 the previous day.
In the last week,1,628 deaths were recorded in the UK, a fall of 44 from the previous seven days.
Hospital admissions have also fallen across the country with 1,169 reported on April 24 while there have been 9,878 across the last week.
That is 2,991 fewer than the previous seven days.
London’s figures have not yet been updated but 735 cases were recorded on Wednesday which was a fall from the 1,568 reported on April 25 and amounts to 11,423 over the last seven days.
For deaths, just three were recorded on April 27, taking the seven-day total to 111.
