Ticket-Holder Claims £93.3m Lottery Jackpot

A UK ticket-holder has come forward to claim the £93.3m jackpot in the EuroMillions draw.

It matched the five main numbers - 5, 8, 10, 11 and 37 - along with the two Lucky Star numbers, 7 and 9.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: "We're delighted Friday's ticket-holder has come forward to claim this truly life changing prize. The win ranks sixth biggest on the National Lottery rich list and is the third EuroMillions jackpot to be won here in the UK this year."

Although the £93,388,943 prize is a huge win, it isn't enough to propel the lucky ticket-holder into the top five UK winners of the EuroMillions draw.

Dave and Angela Dawes secured £101.2m in October 2011 - their third time playing the lotto game.

Neil Trotter, a mechanic, won £108m in March 2014, while an anonymous player picked up £133.1m in October 2010.

Adrian and Gillian Bayford picked up the second-largest UK EuroMillions prize of £148.6m in August 2012.

But the biggest jackpot in EuroMillions history went to Colin and Chris Weir, from Scotland, in July 2011. Their £161.6m win propelled them into the Sunday Times Rich List, beyond many well-known musicians and entrepreneurs.

Meanwhile, in April, a couple from Scunthorpe managed to win a EuroMillions prize for the second time - beating odds of 283 billion to 1.

David and Kathleen Long first won £1m in 2013, and doubled their winnings just two years later. They also won a car.
