UK tourist in Tenerife 'contemplated flying home' after terrifying 4am awakening
A holidaymaker in a popular area of Tenerife admitted she was tempted to fly home after a 'terrifying 4am awakening'.
Staying at a hotel in Costa Adeje, Sabrina, who goes by sabrinaescapes on TikTok, was awoken during the night after the windows of her apartment were smashed.
As the Manchester Evening News reports, Sabrina was fast asleep when the incident occurred and later uploaded a video telling her 200,000 followers what happened as she panned to the smashed front door and window.

The floor was a sea of glass as Sabrina said she contemplated flying home after the terrifying ordeal which left her screaming in an attempt to scare the person responsible off.
The influencer said: "First night in Costa Adeje, it's 4am and someone smashes up the front door, the window and lobs the bottle they used to smash the window at me, which you can see is all over the floor, and some of it's in the bed."
Sabrina continued: "I didn't know what their plan was so I grabbed something and screamed until they left."

Understandably shaken by the ordeal, she said: "And now I'm contemplating, do I book another hotel? A nice one that no one can get in to? Or do I just fly home and call it a day? It's only going to be like 50 Euros to fly back to the UK. I don't know."
The video prompted others to share their own experiences, the Irish Mirror reports. One said: "My daughter had a similar experience in July. She and friends had just arrived." Another said: "Tenerife is beyond belief at the moment, a place to stay clear of."

A third wrote: "My friend has been robbed in a hotel last week Sabrina. He's devastated because they took the safe with all his possessions in." In a subsequent video, Sabrina said she'd reported the incident to the police and switched to another hotel.
"I'm fine... I'm in a nice hotel, nice resort now. It's fantastic, my view is incredible... I feel much safer here. This is a beautiful resort with lots of entertainment going on tonight," she said. "I'm going to chill and here and probably just explore the rest of Tenerife in the morning."
