"We're seeing package breaks available for under £300 per person this May, making it an incredibly attractive option for budget-conscious travellers." Holidays to the quieter Balearic island are set to become more accessible, with low-cost carrier easyJet launching a year-round route.

Head of Editorial at TravelSupermarket, Steph Marinkovic, adding: "Menorca's natural attractions, including the 320km Cami de Cavalls coastal path and the stunning Parc of S'Albufera des Grau, are drawing visitors seeking authentic experiences away from the busier Balearic islands."

"While Majorca and Ibiza get the lion’s share of the limelight, Menorca holidays offer perhaps the most rustic and blissfully unspoilt of the three Balearic Island destinations," a guide on the Easyjet website has gushed to tourists.

"The most easterly of the island group, the Menorcan landscape is a picturesque patchwork of lush rolling hills, virgin pine forests and rural farmland peppered with ancient stone walls that zigzag for miles. Sleepy whitewashed villages are dotted around the interior, which spring to life on market days and during colourful local fiestas," Easyjet went on and said.
