Embattled Ukip leader Henry Bolton today insisted he is still estranged from his 25-year-old girlfriend after the pair were photographed getting off a train together near his flat.

The married father-of-three dumped Jo Marney on Sunday night after it was revealed she made racist remarks about Prince Harry’s fiancé Meghan Markle. He said he needed to put the party first.

However after fresh photos emerged of the pair at a train station in Kent late last night, he said he would get a receipt from his local taxi firm to show Ms Marney went back to her own house.

Mr Bolton has faced growing pressure to quit as Ukip leader over his model ex-girlfriend after a string of racist and distasteful messages were unearthed. In one online comment she described Grenfell Tower as a “nest of illegal immigrants”.

The pair were first spotted last night dining at the Liberal Club in Central London and were said to have been holding hands. After leaving the restaurant they were stopped by a HuffPost journalist, and he explained “she’s now going back to Maidstone and I’m now going back home” and added they were “just co-ordinating”.

However they were later photographed both getting off the train at Folkestone West station, close to where Mr Bolton has a flat.

A source said: “They took a taxi to his place. They were there for twenty minutes so she could pick up her bags and then she took a taxi back to her house.”

“He’s going to the taxi firm to get a photo of the log.”

In an article in the Daily Telegraph today Mr Bolton said he did not rule out getting back together with Ms Marney, who was suspended from her UKIP membership on Sunday.

He told the paper “who knows what the future will bring” and said he still loved her. He also claimed information about Ms Marney “had been doctored”.

His Russian wife Tatiana Smurova-Bolton, with whom he has two young children, said she did not know he had started a relationship with someone else until he text her on December 30.

Mr Bolton goes before the party’s National Executive Committee on Sunday where he is expected to be given short shrift over his relationship, although members are not said to be keen on another leadership contest before the May local elections.
