Ukraine says 50 Russians killed in attack on ammunitions depot

(Reuters) - Around 50 Russian soldiers were killed and up to another 50 were injured when Ukrainian forces attacked an ammunition depot in the eastern Luhansk region, the Ukrainian military said on Wednesday.

The general staff of the armed forces, writing in a Facebook post, did not give details of when or how the attack had been carried out.

It also said that in a separate strike in the southern Zaporizhzhia region, up to 15 Russians had been killed, with up to another 20 wounded.

Reuters was not able to independently verify the reports. The Russian armed forces did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
