Ukraine’s aviation forces carried out 12 strikes on areas of Russian soldiers and equipment, while rocket and artillery hit three other areas of Russia’s occupation forces.

Russian forces launched 21 air and nine missile strikes, including one on the city of Slovyansk. There were no reported civilian casualties.

A separate missile strike damaged seven multi-story buildings and three private cars in Kramatorsk, with no reported civilian casualties.

Russian troops also fired 57 times from multiple launch rocket systems.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s General Staff said in its daily loss report that since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine the aggressor has lost about 166,570 soldiers, including 960 over the past day.

According to the Ukrainian military, Russian losses as of March 21 were as follows (change over the previous day in parentheses):

  • personnel - about 166,570 (+960)

  • tanks - 3,552 (+15)

  • armored combat vehicles - 6,879 (+10)

  • artillery systems - 2,586 (+9)

  • multiple launch rocket systems - 507 (+0)

  • air defense systems - 270 (+0)

  • warplanes - 305 (+0)

  • helicopters - 290 (+0)

  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 2,167 (+7)

  • cruise missiles - 907 (+0)

  • warships/military boats - 18 (+0)

  • motor vehicles and fuel tankers - 5,428 (+12)

  • special equipment - 266 (+1)

Earlier, the Russian news outlet Agentstvo reported that since mobilization, Russia could have lost twice as many troops as before mobilization.

Allegedly, the Kremlin has recently stepped up the issuance of draft summonses.

Late on March 20, Ukrainian intelligence reported that an explosion destroyed Russian Kalibr cruise missiles being transported by rail in the occupied Crimean city of Dzhankoi.
