Footage released by the Azov Regiment on April 24 is described as showing a soldier visiting families and children in the basements of the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol, Ukraine.
In a two-part video entitled “Forgotten by the World but not by Azov”, soldiers from the battalion can be seen speaking to residents of the steel plant, which has been used as a shelter for residents in the city.
In an earlier Twitter post Azov Commander Denis Prokopenko said “hundreds of civilians” were sheltering at the steelworks. Among them, he said, were “people of all ages, women, children, families of Mariupol defenders.”
