Ukrainian MOP Says Former Trump Campaign Chairman Hid Payments

At a news conference in Kyiv on Tuesday, March 21, Ukrainian Member of Parliament Serhiy Leshchenko showed a document he said proved US President Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman tried to hide payments from Ukraine’s ousted president.

Leshchenko said the 2009 document was a contract between a shell company registered in Belize with an office opened in Kyrgyzstan for computers. But, the politician said, the $750,000 payment was for Paul Manafort’s consulting work with pro-Russian former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, who was removed from office in 2014 and is now in exile in Russia.
