A formal dinner featuring a selection of Ukrainian specialities will raise funds for selected trusted charities in support of the war-torn country.

Oxford University's Nuffield College will host the themed dinner consisting of three courses including wine and a welcome drink on Thursday April 7.

The menu features traditional Ukrainian borscht followed by chicken Kyiv (or vegetarian Kyiv) and traditional Ukrainian syrnyky pancakes served with crème fraîche and berry compote.

Drinks are at 6.30pm and dinner will be served at 7.15pm.

Dress is black tie or other formal dress.

The event has been organised at short notice by Oxfordshire County Councillor for Burford and North Carterton Nicholas Field-Johnson on behalf of the Oxford University Ukrainian Society.

The society has been the driving force behind a protest against the Russian invasion, a rally and collections in the city.
