Ultimate Slip ‘N’ Slide is now open in Somerset in time for the summer


The biggest and fastest slip-n-slide has opened in Somerset just in time for summer! The "super fast, super high, super long, and super fun" 95-metre slide is open for the public to enjoy whatever the weather.

Located between the popular city of Bath and the market town of Frome at Eastcote Farm in Beckington, Somerset, the Ultimate Slip ‘N’ Slide is open 7 days a week from 10 AM - 5 PM. Costing just £12 you can ride the slide as many times as you like in a one-hour session.

And one of those who took advantage was Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey who was seen sitting on a large yellow rubber ring laughing as he made his way down the waterslide. This slide is great for all heights, sizes and ages - even a politician can enjoy it!

The slide opened on May 25 and will be closing on September 8 - so this gives you plenty of time to book your session online. The establishment recommends wearing a wetsuit but also hires this out if needed or visitors can feel free to wear T-shirts and shorts/ leggings.

In a statement on their website, they say: "Whether you are taking your family or having a large birthday party, the Ultimate Slip ‘N’ Slide caters to large groups with shelter, seating and refreshments on hand when you need a break from the action. Whilst you are there enjoy a picnic by the slide as you are allowed to bring your own food.

"You cannot wear jewellery or watches but glasses can be worn at your own risk - guide dogs are allowed. There is plenty of parking available or take the train to Frome or catch the D2, D2X 67, X34, X69 bus."

If the weather is severe such as high strong winds or thunder and lightening overhead the the slide will be closed for safety reasons, however, the establishment will know in advance if they need to close and advise checking customers to check their Facebook page and your emails before leaving.
