What the organisers said

Mark Adams, founder of Ultimo Hombre, said: "Ultimo Hombre is a unique place to come and test your gamer skills against like-minded fanatics or equally casual fans.

"It's about meeting up with people who have the same interests and sharing tips and skills, playing games on mind bowing rigs, experiencing Virtual Reality like nowhere else and winning prizes and topping leader boards for doing so.

"It is for people of all genders, ages and backgrounds, and is a very special experience that brings everyone together in one theatrical and escapist gamers' paradise."

Tim Howard, marketing director for The Deltic Group, the owner of PRYZM, said: "Ultimo Hombre is a great social gaming and competition concept, bought to life in our state-of-the-art designed venues.

"It offers a big arena style atmosphere without losing the chance to be social and meet with your friends to talk about what just happened.

"As the concept grows and spreads across the country, gamers of all standards will be able to play against each other and be part of this fantastic gaming community. This is the beginning of the future for gamers both for social and competition."
