Ultrabeat to headline as daytime night club opens in Newcastle for five hour rave

Newcastle revellers are being invited to rave it up during the day and still be home in time for supper, as Clubland legends Ultrabeat get set to headline a massive daytime clubbing event in the city.

Having tasted success with its first event at the end of May, well known city centre haunt Digital will once again became a daytime night club on Saturday, October 5 as the clock is turned back to the glory days of much loved hotspots Ikon and the Tuxedo Princess. And it's Pretty Green Eyes hitmakers Ultrabeat who are topping the bill for the five hour rave, running from 4 through to 9pm, with the act who also gave us tracks like Feelin' Fine and Elysium , set to perform a two hour set of dance nostalgia.

They aren't the only act on stage either, as local legends and Dreamworx residents Jeff Scott, Mark Smith, and Joey G will be on the decks in support. A teaser for the event adds: "Expect "a day full of high NRG. Reach for the lasers and dance classics that will have you reminiscing about the good times!

Tickets are on sale now online from Skiddle, priced from £25.55 and the event will also feature Clubland dancers, stilt walkers, fire eaters, and full club production.

The trend of daytime clubbing has always been a popular one in Newcastle, thanks to Hoochie Coochie and its discos on a Saturday and Sunday afternoon; with Line of Duty star Vicky McClure bringing her event Day Fever to town earlier this year, after its sell out success in other cities.
