Unai Emery issues Matty Cash injury update ahead of Aston Villa vs Bayern Munich
Unai Emery has confirmed Aston Villa right-back Matty Cash has returned to full training but he will not be fit to feature against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night (8pm).
The 27-year-old suffered a hamstring injury during Villa's 2-0 defeat to Arsenal in August and subsequently missed the trip to Leicester and home wins over Everton and Wolves. After then sitting out of Villa's first Champions League league phase clash against BSC Young Boys a fortnight ago, the right-back was also sidelined for the trip to Ipswich Town last weekend.
Lamare Bogarde had initially replaced Cash at right-back, until Diego Carlos returned to the XI in Villa's last two league games while Ezri Konsa shuffled across to full-back.

"Matty is starting training with us, but tomorrow there is no time to get him to play one minute," Emery explained. "He is not available tomorrow. Kamara and Tyrone Mings remain out. The other players are OK. We worked yesterday and then will train later today. Hopefully everyone else will be available."
Villa come into the game against Bayern on the back of a 2-2 draw with Ipswich at Portman Road, while the German giants drew 1-1 with Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen on home soil.
Bayern won their first Champions League league phase fixture against Dinamo Zagreb 9-2, while Villa returned to Europe's elite club competition with a 3-0 win over BSC Young Boys at the Wankdorf Stadium in Bern.
