'Unique' 40-stall Birmingham winter market tucked away from the German Christmas event
There's a special Brummie Christmas market tucked away from the Frankfurt stalls where you can buy jewellery, art, food and drink, clothing, homeware, ceramics and more, all from local makers. The Ikon Gallery, the beautiful art destination tucked between Broad Street and Brindleyplace on Oozells Square, is hosting its annual Winter Craft Market on Wednesday, December 4.
The one-night-only event will run from 5:30pm until 8:30pm, giving the after work crowd somewhere to buy unique and special gifts ahead of Christmas. Cards and special prints will be on sale too, from the likes of 100 Views of Birmingham and Kay's Illustration.
Artists including Tat Vision, Ben Javens, Hannah Parkes and Clare Pentlow will be sharing their artwork while Brownie Che, Brummie Honey and Tokidokie Cookies will be selling tasty morsels and gifts to take away.

The market is free to attend, though donations to the gallery are welcomed. Tickets don't need to be purchased in advance and you can walk in at any point during the opening hours.
The market will be spread throughout the gallery, giving Brummies who might not have explored the Ikon Gallery before the opportunity to see it. Tucked away over the twinkly canal bridge leading from the ICC and Chamberlain Square, it's a short picturesque walk from the full Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market.
For those who can't attend in person, the Ikon Gallery has a range of Birmingham gifts from local makers up for sale on the website. It features Brummie candles, mugs, prints and artworks.
