United States Delivers Aid to Pakistan Following Catastrophic Flooding

The United States Air Force brought supplies to Pakistan on Sunday, September 11, in support of a United States Agency for International Development-led (USAID) humanitarian mission, the Department of Defense said.

Video released by the Air Force shows palettes being loaded into aircraft. It said USAID aims to help people emerge from humanitarian crises, “such as the catastrophic flooding currently plaguing Pakistan.”

The United Nations called the flooding that hit Pakistan a “climate catastrophe” and launched an urgent appeal for $160 million in aid.
