An unscripted Peter Kay's Car Share will air over the Bank Holiday
It’s been revealed that a special unscripted episode of Peter Kay’s Car Share will air on television over the May Bank Holiday.
An official statement reads: ‘A special unscripted episode of Peter Kay’s Car Share will air at 10pm on Bank Holiday Monday, May 7, the comedian has announced on his website.
‘A short statement said a repeat of the second series of the show will then be shown on Monday nights, but will feature a brand new series finale on the following Bank Holiday, May 28.’
Kay also retweeted the news from a fan account, that announced the good news that Car Share would return to the small screen on 7 May, but has made no official comment himself on social media.

The news broke on his website, stating that the unscripted special would then be followed by the new series.
‘A brand new Car Share: Unscripted special will be on BBC1 at 10pm on Bank Holiday Monday, 7th May.
‘The episode is completely improvised.
‘Then a full second series repeat of Car Share on Monday nights will conclude with a brand new series finale to be screened on the second Bank Holiday, 28th May.’
Kay put on a special charity night showcasing the new series earlier this month for lucky fans who managed to get a ticket to the Blackpool event which raised £34,000. The comedian, 44, even made a surprise appearance to remind everyone not to spoil it… and make a Jimmy Savile joke during his first public outing in 2018.
In fact, it was his first appearance since announcing the cancellation of his upcoming stand-up tour, worth a reported £40 million.
Kay cited ‘unforeseen family circumstances’ as the reason for pulling out of the 200+ dates.
Catch Car Share: Unscripted on 7 May, at 10pm, on BBC One.
