New photos of missing teenager Jay Slater have been shared by his friend upon her return from Tenerife.

Lucy Law, 18, who holidayed with Jay in Tenerife, has released fresh images of the teen enjoying time with friends prior to his disappearance. The five new snaps, shared on Instagram, depict the trainee bricklayer happily mingling at gatherings.

It seems Ms Law posted the photos after arriving back in the UK over the weekend, a week following the cessation of official search and rescue operations by Spanish authorities. The teenager had journeyed to Tenerife with Jay in mid-June and was present at the Papagayo nightclub rave where he was last sighted.

She returned to their mutual holiday accommodation with Brad Hargreaves, a shared friend, while Jay accompanied two other men to a residence in the north of the island, near Masca village. When he failed to return, she reported him missing and participated in the search efforts as his family landed on the Spanish island.

Despite thorough searches by Spain's Guardia Civil over the subsequent two weeks, Jay's location remains a mystery. Lucy has since returned home and uploaded the series of photos on Instagram over the weekend, each image adorned with a blue heart emoji, a symbol frequently used online to denote friendship, according to the Mirror.

In the array of snapshots, the missing young man is depicted enjoying moments with Lucy and various companions, frequently in pubs and bars. One particular image shows Jay encircled by friends under a blue hue, apparently having the time of his life at a rave.

The collection also includes intimate photos of Jay and Lucy alone, standing or sitting in close proximity, with the label "cute" prominently displayed across their faces as they strike poses for the lens.

Earlier in the month, she spoke out about the enigma of his vanishing, labelling it as "weird". She remarked: "There's something weird going on. It is suspicious. In two days you're telling me someone's not seen him. There's a restaurant 10 minutes away that he would have seen or walked past. It's suspicious and it's weird."

Furthermore, she expressed: "Fair enough it didn't open for another two hours but if that were me I would have sat and waited at the restaurant till it opened. As soon as it opened I would have said, 'Please can you put my phone on charge' and then I would have rung someone, I would have rung a taxi."
