Greg Daniels has teased his plans for a second season of Amazon Prime's Upload.

Known for his comedy work on The Office US and new Netflix title Space Force, Daniels recently spoke to ComicBook about a potential return to his future world where people 'upload' themselves to a digital paradise when they die.

Debuting on the streaming service last week (May 1), the offbeat comedy sci-fi stars Robbie Amell (The Tomorrow People), Andy Allo (Chicago Fire) and Kevin Bigley (Sirens).

Revealing that he'd sketched out two seasons before it was even commissioned, Daniels said: "Well, when I pitched it, which was literally back in 2015, I had two seasons broken and the pitch.

"I think I could see extending it past that, but at the moment, we are writing a second season. We'll see how things are affected by recent events."

The series creator concluded: "But yeah, no, it's not meant to only be 10 episodes. But it's also probably not meant to be 100 episodes.

"I mean, when I was doing it, the Amazon guys kept saying, 'Think of it as a five-hour movie'. So I tried to do that."

Here's to the next five-hour movie! (If the streaming service gives it the go-ahead, that is...)

Upload season 1 is now streaming on Amazon Prime.
