Severe thunderstorms blew damaging winds and wreaked havoc in parts of Victoria on Friday, October 29, as residents observed overnight damage, footage shows.

On Friday morning, the Victorian State Emergency Service (VICSES) said they had received 1,670 requests for assistance in the past 24 hours. About 148,000 customers were without power, according to energy provider Powercor.
