UPS delivers on earnings, Dunkin’ Brands tops expectations, BP names new chair

Here’s a look at some of the companies the Yahoo Finance team will be watching for you.

UPS (UPS) tops our list. The package delivery company beat on earnings and revenue for its first quarter. It also reported top-line growth across all its business segments, with 15% growth in its international segment.

Dunkin’ Brands (DNKN) posted an earnings beat for its first quarter. Still, comparable store sales at the coffee chain and its Baskin-Robbins stores fell slightly. Dunkin’ also rolled out menu changes at all of its U.S. stores. The move is expected to improve customer service and profitability.

BP (BP) has a new chairman, former Statoil and BG Group CEO Helge Lund. The move comes as the oil giant is still trying to find its footing following the worst oil spill on record in the Gulf of Mexico. Lund is succeeding Carl-Henric Svanberg, who is stepping down as BP’s Chairman after eight years on the job.

It’s never a dull day at Tesla (TSLA). The electric car maker’s Autopilot head, Jim Keller, is leaving to work at Intel, according to the Wall Street Journal. Former Apple exec Pete Bannon will take Keller’s place. Bannon has been with Tesla for over two years.
