Urgent Aldi and Spar 'do not eat' warnings as long list of products pulled from sale

Shoppers at Aldi, Spar and other retailers have been warned "do not eat" as a long list of popular products have been pulled from sale. A number of items have been recalled with the Food Standards Agency (FSA) issuing an official alert on Thursday, September 19.

The FSA said manufacturer FGS Ingredients Ltd is recalling "several products containing mustard powder because they may contain peanuts" and added: "This means these products are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts. These products are sold under several different brand names at several different retail stores."

The products are sold under several different brand names at several different retail stores, and the FSA has advised "Point of sale notices will be displayed where the products were sold.

"These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products." Some items are sold by Aldi and Spar stores in the UK. Anyone who has bought any affected products who has an allergy to peanuts has been warned "do not eat them". Customers can instead return them to the place or purchase where a full refund will be given.
