Urgent appeal to find missing Leicester man, 81

UPDATE - Leicestershire Police confirmed that William had been found safe on Friday (May 24). They thanked everyone who shared their appeal.

An urgent appeal to trace a missing Leicester man has been launched. Police have now called on the public’s help to find William Spencer.

William, who is 81, was last seen at his home in Evington’s St Saviours Road at around 1pm on Friday (May 24). He has not been seen since, with police and his family increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Police have shared an image alongside a description of William. The force said he is black, 5ft 10ins tall and of a medium build with a bald head.

William was last seen wearing a navy jacket, navy top and grey trousers. Police say he was also wearing a red baseball cap.

Anyone with information about William’s whereabouts should call Leicestershire Police on 101, quoting incident 338 of May 24. Alternatively, report information on the force’s website.
