Urgent police 'do not approach' 999 alert issued over missing man

Police have issued a 'do not approach' warning to the public over a missing man amid concerns for his welfare.

Anyone who sees Luke Aldcroft has been advised not to approach him under any circumstances. They should instead call 999 immediately, said a force spokesperson in an appeal today (June 1).

Luke was last seen on Millbrook Way, Penwortham, shortly before 7pm last night (May 31) and he has links to Cheshire, Merseyside and Manchester. He was wearing a blue t shirt, black joggers, black trainers and is described as a white male, 6ft 3ins tall with a medium build, long shaggy mousey brown hair and a bushy beard.

In a statement issued this morning, Lancashire Police said: "This is Luke Aldcroft. He's currently missing from home and we’re really concerned for his welfare, so are now asking the public for help.

"Luke was last seen on Millbrook Way, Penwortham, at 18:50 on 31/05/24. When he was last seen, he was wearing a blue t shirt, black joggers, black trainers.

"He is described as a white male, 6"3 medium build, long shaggy mousey brown hair and a bushy beard. Luke also has links to Cheshire, Merseyside and Manchester.

"We ask that you do not approach Luke, if you have any information that could help us find him, please contact us on 101 quoting LC-20240531-1272. For any immediate sightings, please call 999."
