Urgent search launched for missing Edinburgh student, 19, as concerns grow

An urgent search has been launched for a missing Edinburgh student.

Peng Tao Yi, 19, vanished from Middlefield in Leith and police are appealing for information from the public.

The 19-year-old is a Chinese national who studies in the capital. He is described as being medium build and wears glasses.

Police Scotland Edinburgh wrote on X, formally known as Twitter: "Missing Person - Peng Tao Yi

"Peng is a 19 year old Chinese national studying here in Edinburgh. He is of medium build and wears glasses. Peng is currently missing from Middlefield in Leith.
