Two young brothers have been found safe five days after they went missing (PA)

Police searching for two young brothers who went missing five days ago have found them safe and well.

Ayaan Amin, 13, and Armaan Amin, 11, both disappeared in Leicester on Wednesday 1 June and investigators had grown extremely concerned for their welfare.

However Leicestershire Police has now confirmed both boys have been found.

Armaan was found on Sunday night, while his older brother and Ayaan was found on Monday.

The force said in a statement: “Great news - Ayaan and Armaan Amin have been found safe and well.

“The two brothers were reported missing on Wednesday 1 June.

“Armaan, 11, was found last night and Ayaan, 13, was found today.

“Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal and came forward with information.”
