Urgent search for woman, 85, with Alzheimer's missing from home

An urgent appeal has been issued after a woman with Alzheimer's went missing. Doris Lyon, 85, was last seen at Golden Square Shopping Centre in Warrington at around 4pm on Friday, September 27.

She has since been spotted in the Orford Lane area of Warrington at around 4.30pm. Doris, who resides in Wigan, has Alzheimer’s and can become confused said Cheshire Police .

She is described as white, just under 5ft tall, of a slim build, with grey hair, and was wearing brown trousers and a yellow coat/cardigan. Officers are urging anyone who sees her or has any information regarding here whereabouts to come forward.

Inspector Steve Bradshaw said: “A number of enquiries are underway to locate Doris and we would like people who have been in or around the area where she went missing or was last seen to get in touch if they have seen her. If you also have any CCTV or dashcam footage which may be of use to help find Doris then please do get in touch.”
