US Ambassador to Vietnam Records Rap Song Ahead of Lunar New Year

The US ambassador to Vietnam has made a remarkable contribution to this year’s Lunar New Year, releasing a rap song ahead of the country’s Tet festivities.

In the video, Ambassador Daniel Kritenbrink can be seen being coached by rapper Wowy, wandering around Hanoi, and rehearsing his song.

“Hi, my name is Dan. I’m from Nebraska. I’m not a big city boy, then three years ago I moved to Hanoi,” the ambassador raps by way of introduction.

“US and Vietnam, from now to forever, we’re trusted partners, prospering together,” Kritenbrink continues.

Vietnamese rapper Binz Da Poet praised Kritenbrink’s effort, calling it “amazing”. Credit: US Embassy in Hanoi via Storyful
